Our club, consisting of 125 members with over 220 horses and ponies, participates in meetings, clinics, workshops, judging contests, shows and community service events during the year. Each spring the club hosts a clinic for its younger members to learn basic horsemanship and horse care and a charity horse show which benefits a Noble County organization (This year the proceeds were donated to the Noble County Humane Society). During May and June, specialized workshops are offered 3 nights a week in both Kendallville and Albion for all members. The club members also invite the students from the Northeast Indiana Special Education Co-op for a day of riding.

The Mid-States horse show, hosted by the club, has grown to be one of the largest horse shows in the area, highlighted by the 4-H team tournament where in 2005, 30 teams from 15 counties in Indiana, Michigan and Ohio competed for the winner’s jackets.

Noble County is a member of Area XI. This area also includes the following counties: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Steuben, Wells and Whitley. The Area XI Committee sponsors the Area Hippology and Area Judging contests that qualify top placing teams and individuals to participate in the associated State contests. The Area committee also sponsors the Area Horse Show.
